Autonomous vehicles will take the driver out of the car. They will not take away the work around it. Bugama OS is our view of how fleets will run when robotaxis share our streets: which services they need, who delivers them, and how AI agents coordinate it all.
During a shift, a driver is also an inspector, a cleaner, an energy planner, a parking attendant, a mechanic’s ear, a security guard and a customer service agent. Nobody writes it down, because it simply happens.
Take the driver away and each of those tasks becomes a service that someone has to run, measure and pay for, across thousands of cars, every hour of the day.
For each service: what has to happen, how Bugama OS will do it, and what we already run today in human-driven fleets.
Camera arches at the depot gate compare every car with its last known state. New damage opens a report with photos before the car goes back out.
Cabin checks after every ride. An agent decides: keep going, quick clean nearby, or back to the depot. Lost items are logged and the passenger is told.
Charging is planned against tomorrow’s demand, energy prices and charger availability, so cars charge in the valleys and are full for the peaks.
Bays, cleaning queues and charging slots are orchestrated so the right cars leave first, in the order the city will need them.
Fault codes, telematics and sound signatures are compared with the rest of the fleet. Cars go to the workshop before they break down.
Unexpected movement, tampering and vandalism are detected in real time, and security partners receive the evidence and the location.
Voice agents answer riders in seconds. When a person is needed (heavy luggage, a wheelchair, a lost child) the nearest crew is sent.
Remote operators get the context collected by agents and a proposed action. Every new case becomes a rule, so it is in the manual next time.
An autonomous fleet generates more events than any team can read. Bugama OS puts agents between the signals and the people: they open the inspection, book the cleaning, plan the charge, call the passenger, and only escalate what truly needs a human.
It is the same pattern Bugama already uses in every product: connect the data, measure what happened, and let agents act within clear rules.
The services autonomous fleets will need are the ones we already run for human-driven fleets, with the driver gradually replaced by sensors and agents.
Bugama runs the operation of ride-hailing fleets in Spain and Portugal: drivers, cars, shifts, workshop, compliance, GPS and money, with agents doing the follow-up.
Autonomous and human-driven cars share depots, workshops and charging. One system plans both, and the services start replacing tasks the driver used to do.
Bugama OS coordinates the eight services around every car: sensors detect, agents decide, and people handle the exceptions.
“Whoever runs the operation around the car will run the fleet. We do it every day.”
